Met up with my communications teacher today along with Ivan. I wanted to consult him about getting a degree in communications. I think I sort of know what I wanna do already? Since I have a hospitality diploma and it isn’t really what I want to pursue, especially the front line part. So instead, I could get a degree in communications and work in the hospitality via corporate communications or something. I do hope what I’m doing is right so far. Ramesh recommended me to take up Journalism. The thing is, I don’t know if I have the standards for it. Sigh. LWH’s famous sentence keeps ringing in my ear ‘What’s your passion?’ Despite being egoistic, whatever he says make sense.

Uni intakes are already opened. And some of my friends are applying. Okay. Shall stick to the plan I did and work for a year before going to Uni. Sometimes I wonder why didn’t I work harder in poly to at least get a 3 for GPA. Oh well. Too late to regret now. Its only less than a month of end of poly life.

Fat Boys – burgers overload,

Could be my last birthday post already. haha. Had Fat Boy’s with Simin, Thaijin, Wan Ting, Keith and Ivan last night. I initially wanted Two Fat Men (Thai Food) but Thaijin don’t want even though she’s half Thai :( So I got Simin to settle dinner and we agreed on Fat Boy’s. Yumz, feeling hungry again.

The cartoon reminds me of Tweedle Dee and Tweedle Dum.

Simin said I look like a kid here. #best

I guess the burgers are reasonably priced? I forgot how much Handburger cost.

Thaijin and Wan Ting got the Mac&Cheese which tasted great but they eat until very sick. Lol.

I had the Bushtucker (left) while the rest made their own burgers. I was lazy to calculate the price of the ingredients I want. Cause I’ll end up wanting a lot in my burger. haha.

We crossed over the road to have desserts. I was craving for mango shaved ice. But when we went in, they say all the shaved ice not available. Sibei suay. I wanted to go out and have other desserts but they say like very bad. haha. In the end, Simin and I shared this grass jelly red bean thing which was the most horrible thing I’ve ate. Waste my money. $6.80 lo.

Although it was a simple meal, thanks for having it anyway :)

The bill came up to $80 for the 6 of us only. No GST or service charge. I like. Lol. Okay. Officially hungry yet again. Too much good food these few days tho. And I needa buy a new wallet soon. My current one is falling apart.

It’s impossible to not feel hungry while looking through the photos.

Had our usual birthday meal with Pris and Ting Ting on Saturday. I was very excited about dining at Wild Honey cause I’ve been wanting to eat there since forever. But I was quite angry that day. So you need to read my grandmother story about what happened.

Ting made an online reservation but it didn’t go through. So we were told to wait for an hour for the next table. In my mind I was already, "WHAT THE FUCK. I SO HUNGRY STILL NEED WAIT ANOTHER HOUR BEFORE I CAN EAT'”. I get very cranky when I’m hungry, that I admit. I wasn’t happy at all. So I kept quiet and we walked to Mandarin Gallery where it was also an hour’s wait. Damn dulan already, but I still keep quiet. I just told them we could just eat anywhere else if no space. But they asked me to wait for the seating at Wild Honey.

We went A&F and I still wasn’t quite in the mood. Although the guys damn tall, well-built and hot. Okay, not the point. An hour later, we went back to Wild Honey. The hostess say we could have our table but must leave at 2.30pm. My tolerance level peaked cause it was already 2.06pm when we asked for our table. 25 minutes you ask me eat what! Not excluding waiting time for the food to be cooked and served y’know. I got pissed and told off the hostess quite harshly. I know it wasn’t her fault, but it wasn’t ours either. If we were told we only had 30mins to eat before that one hour wait, we would have went somewhere else instead of gobbling our food and getting chased out. I walked out before I got too mad. Walau, my temper like getting hotter and hotter these days.

Then Pris managed to get the hostess to let us sit without having to leave at 2.30pm. Pffft. If I’m asked to leave after an hour, I’d be more than willing. But 25 minutes? Not reasonable to me. Still quite pissed when we were seated but I felt guilty for being so nasty to the hostess later on.

Not a fan of egg yolks but I still ate them up cause they were awesome. Even the bread was fluffy and perfect.

Luckily I still wasn’t full cause I ordered the scones! Scones are my fav, except for the cheese ones. And its so hard to find one that isn’t tough like rocks. But this one was soft and so yummy.

Total bill came up to $116 lo. The bill at Roland Restaurant $136 for 6 persons leh. But I still wouldn’t mind eating there again. It’s beating Marche off my list. Lol.

Anyway, being anal, I wrote an email to the management of Wild Honey. Lol. I’m so gonna get my karma. I didn’t scold the hostess and even apologised for it. But most importantly I wrote about the 25 minutes thing. Sorry luh, I still can’t let it go. haha. The next time I’m going, I make sure I call and reserve. What’s the point of their online reservation when we can’t get our reservation through?

And with that, I need to remember my New Year’s Resolution: to be a better person. Yes, I’m trying hard. Although in my defence, I only seem to be mean to certain people.

Technically, I could have skipped school on Fri but we had to meet up for projects. I was also feeling fat and chubby that day. Sigh.

Simin passed me my birthday present from the poly girls! She said it was the most expensive present they ever bought. hahahaha. Cause we are cheapskate like that !

Thanks Simin, Thaijin, Serena, Wan Ting, Shu Qing! Lots of love for yall. Btw, Thaijin’s sweet to blog a post just for me since she doesn’t blog much. Must bookmark it so I can go back and read it when I’m ~~old~~ older.

Then at night, met up with secondary school mates for dinner at Roland Restaurant. Passed by the poster a few times when Alex parks his car there when we go out for lunch. And I remembered it famous for chilli crab. For some reason, being a non-seafood lover, I was craving chilli crab sauce and the mantou. Lol. So there we were. All of us like so out of place cause the restaurant like for wedding dinners and family reunions. Lol.

Highlight of the meal! CHILLI CRAB! Feeling hungry just by looking at this photo even tho I had a bowl of maggie mee 15 mins ago. Lol.

I haven’t had crab in a long time cause I don’t quite like it. Seafood in general. But I made an exception and they let me have one of the pincers cause its the easiest to eat. Haha. But me being nice, I dug out the crab meat and gave them eat :)

The five of us girls ate very unglamly in front of Pong. hahahahah. Wei Ling and Evon down there keep sucking non-stop.

4 dishes all cleared! Actually 4 dishes for the 6 of us v little. But we were all pretty full after that and we even forgot to order dessert.

Before the start of the dinner, Sharon walked in very obviously holding something in her hands but I couldn’t see what was it and placed it on the floor. Lol. I was being super paranoid that they really buy one bag of bean sprouts give me. Cause Sharon, Michelle and Pong went NTUC before that leh. And Evon still shout, ‘Faster buy the start with T (tow kay) one ah!!’ So I kept threatening them if they really give me a bag of bean sprouts, they will die. In the end, I peeped under the table and saw my face . haha.

From the corner of my eye, I saw Pong and Sharon counting to three and getting ready to do something. I immediately shouted, ‘YOU BETTER DON’T TAKE OUT A BAG OF TOW KAY HOR!’. Both of them looked so accused and said they just wanted to sing me a birthday song. hahahah. Walau, Pong really made me scared when he said he will buy 1kg of bean sprouts for me during Sharon’s birthday last year.

Anyways, when I paid, they even showed the waiter the photo of me –.-

We cabbed back to my place cause we gian gambling. Played blackjack and in between and made so much noise. I was made to be banker but I won $10++. (Y) Eh, I kept rejecting to be banker okay.

Look at the amount of coins I won. The $10 notes are just for show, it was the money they paid for the dinner.

Think I won most of Weiling’s money. She took out all her cards and polaroids for lady luck to shine on her. Damn funny.

Evon bought me this Eiffel Tower thingy where I can put into the earpiece hole on my bb. So small and cute!

And the pen they got me with my name engraved on it. Thank you! Idk who shared it, but yeah, thanks! :)

They left at 12 plus leaving behind the smell of food in my room. But it was much fun having them around :)

Happy Birthday to meeeeee!

So I turned 20. Sigh. The first 2 for the next 9 years. TWENTY LEH. So freaking old. Walau. Only in my second decade in life and so scared of aging already. My birthday this year’s a quiet affair. After last year, I just want to keep everything simple. Maybe throw a big party when I turn 21 next year! Lol. I even have a venue in mind already.

When shopping with my sister over at Orchard. Wanna reward myself with the angpow money. Haha. Got myself items from F21 and H&M. Then I dragged sis to A&F cause I wanna see hot guys. Wtffff. I know they’re hot, but didnt know they were that hot! Almost choked on the perfume smell and it was so dark I couldn’t see anything much. But I could see the topless dude by the door taking photos w pervertic girls. hahahaha. Sis asked if I want to take with him not. OF COURSE I WANT LAH. But I paiseh. Looool.

Headed back to Tampines for dinner cause I ordered Domino’s pizza!!! I asked sis to buy me a cake cause I scared no one buy for me. Cause I strongly believe birthday girl cannot buy her own cake unless its a big customized one. –nods head- And my nephew bought me a pen from his school with his pocket money. So sweet. 没有白疼他! :)

Ordered wayyy too much and had so many leftovers. Sian. That means I have to eat them tomorrow or something. Went back home to cut my birthday cake with the family and ahyi! Lol. She suay lah. Come my house for the internet connection and then had to give me angpow cause she sang and had my birthday cake too.

Love their cake packaging! Makes me feel like a kid with all the colours :)

Sis asked them to write ‘Happy Birthday Shimin!’ tsk. Seriously. Ordered the small cake cause I know our fridge no space to put any more food already. Its filled to the brim with all the CNY stuff.

In the past, my phone would ring non-stop for incoming texts during my birthday cause facebook wasn’t that popular yet. Now with facebook, I can still receive birthday texts is like a rare thing. Technology sucks. Gone are those days of people personally remembering birthday dates. And I think birthdays are a good gauge of who your friends are. Tbh, I keep waiting for him to send a birthday wish but I guess not now.

Losing track of time. I honestly thought we had three days off school and school starts on Thursday (MY BIRTHDAY!). Still thought can skip school and go alone time shopping or something. Mehh. Anyway we still have to chiong projects. Dont care ah, this year’s feedback I’m gonna write a very long essay. They took away our Christmas, New Year’s Day and Chinese New Year. All dedicated to fucking projects. At least don’t place submissions right after CNY can? Pffft.

Took a self-timer family shot before leaving the house as always. Swear my dad looks like he’s getting smaller, or we’re all getting bigger.

Made my sis curl my hair cause she was also doing it. Lol. Might as well right. Anyway the curls loosened up and it was pretty nice. But only fault for the day was the dress – too short leh.

Rubi shoes which was bought the day before cause I threw out like 5 pairs of flats and had to replenish them for CNY. Haha. Got desperate and went Rubi to check out the shoes after school. I quite like it tho!

Hi! CNY’s tomorrow and still not feeling it. Although I’m expecting angpow money to fund HK. I expect Pris and Tingting to bring more money than me, what with the money they are earning now + ang pow money. Confirm more than me. My HK fund piggybank contains maybe only a 100 bucks –.- But its okay, there’s still time for me to add on.

Sis and I went out to buy new PS3 games cause we’re sick of the current two. I wanted to get Time Crisis but it’s just shooting leh. So we got the Little Big Planet game with the cutest character – Sackboy!

So bloody cute when it jumps around tryna get across the obstacles. Lol. But I kept killing it cause I suck at playing. Can even control its emotions. Too cute!

Okay. Wearing red at home (the expensive LRM tee which was a waste of money) cause I want a lot of luck when I sleep, eat, sit around doing projects this year.

CNY’s coming but I only bought ONE dress. Fml. I didn’t buy any new stuff last year already leh. I initially planned to go shopping on Friday after school but now I doubt I can due to projects. Ugh. Feeling all the kanchiong-ness cause submission is next week and we haven’t started on Club yet. Fml x2 .

Quite pissed off today. I’m not saying I’m very righteous but what you did was just disrespectful in my opinion. You’re so damn overwhelming and competitive then you might as well do everything yourself. Pffft. I give you face and control my temper due to your personal reasons. If not I really was on the verge of telling you off. I seriously can’t wait to finish all the projects once and for all.

Last night, I opened my cupboard and started taking out all the clothes that I hardly wear and will never have the chance to wear. And it was quite a lot. Like 40% of my cupboard gone. Before this, when I had to hang my clothes in, I literally had to push my clothes aside for space to hang. Now I just have to slide the clothes aside with ease. Lol. Lucky I managed to squeeze all the clothes in one hand carry luggage.

And thank god for Leonard. Okay la. Maybe having a guy around isn’t a bad thing. Cause they can carry the heavy stuff. Thanks Pris^^ Plus my legs are still aching badly from the bloody NAPHA and stairs are my enemy now.

I think our clothes v not bad leh. Although its pre-loved but they’re all in mint condition. I would buy my clothes if I were you. haahhaha. The crowd sucks unlike the previous time I went there to shop. It was good that the tables are widely spread, but the layout like not even ah. I was aiming for at least $150 profit. But we didn’t reach it. Sigh. Yes, that means I had to lug all my barang barang back home. Overall we did still earn a bit. But the sales were mostly Pris clothes. Walau. My stuff also not bad leh :(

Oh. I’ve made another resolution this morning just for Pris.

I know I can be very unfriendly and quiet towards meeting new people. Cause it’s weird. Been THREE years since I last had a PE lesson. Kinda miss it too. All the volleyball, badminton and rugby. My last 4 naphas were bronze or absent. Lol. Cause I didnt go for the 2.4km. I hate 2.4km run. Can never ever pass it.

Anyways, sucks for us that napha was compulsory although quite a few didn’t turn up. I was secretly hoping that I could at least score a bronze. But who knew sit-ups screwed me up and I didn’t pass it. Sigh. And the only A I got was shuttle run. The others were just in between but still lousier than my sec4 ones. Oh well. 2.4km was SIX freaking rounds around the track. I did just 5 in 18 minutes and I failed. (Y)

Back and legs are aching like a bitch. Everytime I tell myself to do more exercise, I end up not doing it. Should really start soon since I’ll be hitting the twenties. Boo.

LOL. Sorry girls. Gotta dig up this picture (actually looking through my archives, there’s tons of old photos). This was in sec4!

O’level results were out today. Sis did pretty okay, better than me too. That ass came home and the first thing she said was, ‘IN YOUR FACE!’ hahaha. I like to think that she was pressured to do better than me. Lol. 3 years ago, it was such a big milestone for us to cross. Still remembered how nervous we are that we were unable to finish eating. Then when I received my slip, I didn’t dare to open it up and passed it to G to open for me. He gave a face and said ‘THIRTEEN!’ and I still thought he was kidding. lol. Cause it was better than what I expected after CCA points.

Now 3 years later, I ask myself why did I choose hospitality? I don’t really like it, but I guess it makes sense and sometimes it is even fun. SOMETIMES. Mum was like, ‘See la. That time ask you go for mass comm you don’t want listen’. While sis is fretting over what diploma course to take, I’m fretting about what degree program to take.

The plan is to work till end of this year and enrol in a degree course. Honestly, I don’t exactly want to continue pursuing hospitality. Cause the UNLV program is roughly about the same. And what for getting a diploma and degree of the same industry that I may not want to go into? Might as well focus on something like marketing or finance to broaden my reach right? Then again, the only other choice I’m interested is communications. I’ve been looking at different universities and from what Ivan’s been emailing Chern, there are a few choices in my head. So unfair that guys get 2 years to think about what they want. Okay la, maybe you give me 5 years I might not know what to study too.

Anyways, I hope Adele hurries back and make more beautiful music soon! This song has been replaying in my ipod.

These few days I sort of just realised my childhood wasn’t that great. I envy people who could run around the neighbourhood playground everyday playing with other kids. Growing up, I never seem to do that. Only that few times where my aunt would allow me downstairs with my sister. Even then we would only play with one another. Lol. So most of the time its just sis and I in the room playing games of pretend. I miss being a kid. We could be who we want to be and create places of adventure purely from our minds with a great storyline too.

But the one thing I remember clearly was how much I wanted a dog. I even specifically requested a golden retriever. haha. Mum bought this book of dogs and I spent my days flipping and trying to decided what breed I want. Doesn’t help that mum hates dogs too. Then when daddy said he’s gonna buy a dog, it was like part of my childhood dream being fulfilled. It doesn’t matter if Mocha isn’t a golden retriever or any pure breed, she’s my 7 year old Shermeen’s wish came true :)

I’ve no expectations for the new year. Okay, please don’t let the world end can already. But 2012 looks like a very intimidating year. Firstly, I will be graduating from poly. And who knows what comes after next? Still deciding if I should start working (but as what?) or go straight to university (study what?). Should I even continue pursuing the hospitality industry? Its the only thing I know and its something I don’t really want. If I opt for others, I’d be starting from zero and I may not even end up liking it. Pfffft. Such a thought-heavy post for the first day of a new year.

I shamelessly think I looked better at the start of the year than now. Must be all the weight gained. It goes to my face and tummy but not elsewhere (boobs). Sighhh.

Well, I’ve given up on NY’s resolutions cause I forget them and they never come true. Yup, I checked and I skipped writing it last year too.

Okay maybe 1 or 2.

I want to be a better, happier person in 2012. Towards the end of the year, I realised I’ve been very impatient, bad-tempered and generally a bitch sometimes (probably cause of the environment I’m in). So hopefully that this bad attitude of mine isn’t following me to 2012.

Actually, I can’t summarize 2011. Too many things happened. But I guess it was mostly peaceful. No much action or drama or excessive emotions. Survived SSM, internship and now PROJECTS. TP won’t let us end 2011 on a good note one leh. So yeah, guess 2011 was peaceful. Anyways, if apocalypse does strike in 2012, I will have a long list of regrets. Still, it doesn’t mean I am going to un-regret them now.

Giving myself a day off today, and probably all the way till Monday too. Fyeah, I finish my individual reports and whatever I’m supposed to do for my group projects. I’d really rather start early and do bit by bit till I complete it. I cannot panic and start stressing.

Dinner with Pris and Tingting yesterday @ Big Bad Wolf. Been wanting to try this cute little restaurant cause my bus always passes by on my way home from intern. Plus I keep seeing reviews about this place. So I asked them there for our post-christmas meal. The service staff so cute please. Say can recognise my voice and know its me who made the reservation.

If ever I open a small restaurant one day, its going to be something like this, nestled in a quaint neighbourhood.

Sighhh still dont see my dieting plans succeeding. Face still so round.

Shared a basket of calamari which was so-so. Despite being a chef’s recommendation, I have had better ones.

Ordered the burger – The Works which was awesome in my opinion. Beef patties, bacon, egg, cheese.

The both of them had the Citrus Grilled Fish.

Then we ordered the Bailey’s Chocolate tart. Apparently tons of people love this tart. Its nice, very strong bailey taste but not something I wanna have it again. Plus its $6 leh. I’d rather have a big slice of cake. Anyway, the cocoa powder wolf makes it up for the price. So cute. Lol.

They were ordering the dessert and I was still munching on my burger. Lol. And I suddenly let out a loud burp. Wtf. I didn’t know it was going to be so loud and they said the waiter got a shock. LOL. Spent minutes laughing and trying to swallow the food in my mouth without chocking. hahahahahaha. I think we damn noisy. Talk too loud, laugh too loud. Goodness. This is what’s going to be like for a week in HK.

I realise I have a lot of white tank tops 5 or 6 of them. Different kind, different material, different length. hahaha. And I wear them a lot cause its goes nicely with EVERYTHING.

Seems to "Zone out" or daydream often; gets lost easily or loses track of time.

I realise that when people talk to me, I can suddenly zone out and even though I hear the person talking, but no words are going into my mind. And if it’s something important, I need to pay attention and listen to every single word.

Difficulty sustaining attention; seems "hyper" or "daydreamer."

Not sure if this applies to everyone, but I get bored in lectures easily and stop paying attention. I need to disturb someone or at least talk.

Learns best through hands-on experience, demonstrations, experimentation, observation, and visual aids.

I like talking over the phone instead of texting. But if you’re giving me information over the phone, I find it hard to understand. Its like I cannot visualise what you’re trying to tell me. People have to repeat dunno how many times while again, I try hard to pay attention and write it down. I need to SEE to know.

Clumsy, uncoordinated, poor at ball or team sports; difficulties with fine and/or gross motor skills and tasks; prone to motion-sickness.

I hate sports. I hate ball games cause I always get hit by it, unless its volleyball or badminton. Long bus rides make me giddy, I need to swallow motion sickness pills to sleep on the plane and I immediately feel seasick while I was on the cruise field trip. Dunno if its xin li zuo yong or really seasick.

Reads and rereads with little comprehension.

I don’t remember it happening during secondary school, but nowadays when I read an article, I lose track and have to start reading all over again. But of course I get it after the second time reading.

Confused by letters, numbers, words, sequences, or verbal explanations.

Plus there are some words which I can never tell them apart and to me they either look the same or sound the same. Like September and November, Tanjong Pagar and Tiong Bahru, East Link and East Point (latest discovery), Kallang and Kembangan. I also get dates mixed up at times. I pissed Tingting off cause I keep asking her when she’s flying to Korea. Lol.

I hope this is just another one of those theories to scare myself. If not I really think I’m weird.

Spent Christmas counting down with the 3 girls and 4 of my poly mates. Thanks to them we managed to avoid the freaking long queue outside Zirca and cut queue to join them. Lol. Headed out for drinks at Yello Jello. I can never finish a cup of beer one leh. It stops midway and stops there. haha.

Partied and got squeezed pretty bad. Almost fell a couple of times cause the people were trying to get out and we were trying to get in. Lucky some guys managed to hold onto me. But even if I fall, I won’t fall flat down cause too many people around already.

How’s my official first time clubbing you ask?

Like that lo. Exactly what I expected it to be. Hats off to those who club every week! 3 hours on the dance floor and I yao suan bei tong already and I wasn’t even heels. Plus I slept at 5am the night before so I was pretty tired. Lol. So many funny things happened. And lucky I didn’t touch any sweaty bodies. hahahahahah. That’s the one thing I’m concerned of.

Woke up today with a hoarse voice and runny nose that lasted the whole day *sniffs* I only drank half glass beer and a shot leh. Plus I don’t remember shouting. Oh well.

Merry Christmas!

Christmas has always been my favourite holiday cause I’m the happiest in December, counting down. Its so warm and fuzzy although there’s no snow but there is always rain. Can’t wait to spend a white Christmas one day.

She wrote no stationery but I got her a 2012 planner. Not counted as stationery right?! Plus I see she don’t have so I buy for her.

With 7 more projects to go, no matter how much I do a day, more keeps coming in. I don’t know how others can still go out and play. I know its the Christmas season, but drowned in projects I can’t seem to pull myself away and watch TV. Its the same cycle everyday – wake, do projects, lunch, do projects, dinner, do projects, sleep. Where got life!? And I am very scared I’ll turn stress cause when I do, I get panicky and nothing good will come out for it.

Doesn’t help that my group is very slow. I want to quickly finish all my parts but there’s so many freaking parts. Plus we haven’t even touch Club and Facilities Mgmt. *claps claps* I foresee January to be hell. Just wanna quick quick settle FM individual before going all the way for the group ones.

At times like these, I really want to quit school.

My elephant thighs in the new jeans mum bought for me from Mango. Still on a mission to lose another 1 or 2 kg before CNY. Lucky the dress I bought for CNY isn’t tight fitting bodycon, still have space but cannot grow fat.

Anyway, a sudden and totally scary thought crossed my mind during dinner.

I know right. Very what the hell. It’s like life suddenly rushes by and before I know it, I’m probably old and trying to catch every breath like its my last. Omg. This is too much man. Thanks to my mother lah. She said I have to get insurance once I start work, and must get those kind that can help me save for my wedding in a few years time. IN A FEW YEARS TIME. I once said I want to get married at 26 and that is like 6 years more. And still no boyfriend. Lol. Walau. I am only just turning 20 and here I am suddenly afraid that I won’t be able to find the right guy and get married. –shudders- And I’m the one who gave up on fairytale love.

I sound so screwed and I hope this just a one time thing. Plus Pris kept talking about growing old the other day we went shopping. Put so many ideas inside my head. Tsk. I usually don’t even care cause I’m happy the way life is now. And LWH said during lecture we start to age around the age of 22. That’s two more years. Gahhhhhh. Why am I having such thoughts when I am supposed to be at my highest peak?

Lol, series of retarded photos taken during project meeting yesterday. I know we very kiam pah, discuss halfway then started taking photos while the other two were discussing.

I doubt any normal Singaporeans would step into URA if not for projects. That place only has tourists. But still, it was fun with all the interactive things to play with. Kinda impressed with the big whole map of Singapore with its infrastructure. So cool.

Walked the City Gallery and saw the photo booth! We took a lot of photos but in the end, only 2 were sent to my email. I took one solo shot in front of the Marina Bay area night skyline. So chio but it wasn't sent . URA, why you deprive me of my picture that I wanted it to be my new display pic? :(

I need to cut my fringe again. Can't see my eye already .

Then we went Joo Chiat for our project. Walked for like 2 hours around the area under the sweltering heat. For nothing also luh. So we gave up and went over to City Plaza for a little shopping. Got myself a dress for CNY. Or X'mas maybe? Lol. Told Simin that I buy now, I might not even wait till CNY to wear it out.

Got my Vaio back when I was getting used to the Macbook today. That means I can finally watch my videos! Bad thing about Mac is I can't download Funshion. Oh, and no more auto-correct!!

Royal Caribbean Field Trip

I was initially excited to go onboard RC cause hello, people know cruises are meant to stuff ourselves silly with food. Lol. The last time I was on a cruise was primary school?

Even though it was just a day tour, we still had to bring our passports and get security checks. The ship just came back from idk where and passengers onboard can alight to tour SG for the day and for others to board.

We were split into groups and taken around the whole ship. I think this ship not very impressive. Oasis of the Sea is the damn awesome one with the Flo-Rider on the ship itself I think.

A Germany cruise ship also docked at SG for them to alight and explore SG. Cause it's winter over in Europe, so they flock to Asia to escape the cold. Walau, then these people must be very rich. Too bad they are mostly arm, old.

We were also taken to view all the different kinds of staterooms and suites. My absolute favorite is the Royal Suite already. There's a WHITE GRAND PIANO INSIDE OKAY. Siao siao. One person can sum up to $3000+. One person only! Pffft , I'd rather go Europe.

Some of the more expensive rooms have their own balconies and I think the feeling must be very shook if its an Europe cruise. Imagine all the scenery just passing by your eyes. Gahhhh, can't wait for the day I have enough money to travel out.

Although we have to do a project to entice youngsters to go on a cruise instead of flying, but seriously, the things you can do onboard are that limited. And its so expensive, granted that you can have unlimited number of meals. But how much can you eat in the end? Lol. I'm not convinced myself and I have to convince others to take a cruise.

My family returned from Korea this morning …. with lots of clothes for me. Mostly knitted or thick material, but still clothes. hahaha. The amount of beauty products they buy can open shop and sell. They crazily spent like $1k leh! Too cheap then keep buying and buying -.- Still purchase like $600 worth of stuff and got a free red luggage. Okay la, the luggage quite chio. (Stupid macbook keeps auto-correcting my singlish)

Anyways , just realized how used to exams we are already that we can just take 2 days or even 1 to study for a paper. Too zai already (how to off the auto-correct ah!?!)

Kinda excited cause earlier on at Coffee Bean, we finally booked our tickets to Hong Kong.

We've been discussing about it for a few months? And reality finally sets in. We're going for a week in April.

Omgomgomgomgomgomg.

We only bought 1-way tickets cause it's 1-for-1 offer from Jetstar. Now we just have to wait for another offer to come along so that we can buy tickets home to Singapore. Lol.

$358 for the 3 of us. That's nearly the equivalent of a SQ ticket to HK as well. Pfffft. No. We budget airfare, budget lodging then we splurge on shopping + food!!

A week in HK, Macau and Zhu Hai.

Went for the Royal Caribbean cruise tour today. It's only a 2 hour tour walking around the entire ship. Not too bad, but as soon as I stepped out on the deck, I felt dizzy. Lol. And I still wanna go for a cruise.

I was so damn impressed by the Royal Suite (with a white grand piano in it! No joke) and it costs like $3k per person, not by room, for like a 3 nights cruise? Must be nuts. I'd rather go Europe and take the river cruise. River cruises are like freaking awesome. Imagine sitting there and watch as Europe passes by. Watch the video! I wanna be like the couple sitting at their balcony, sipping wine and enjoy the scenery.

Shall upload the cruise pictures when I figure out how to enlarge the photos. Lol. Cannot means cannot lehhh. Why! Anyways, today was supposed to be one of the NAPHA test days and Mr Pang said we could just take attendance. So we walked all the way to the tracks, and they refused to let us take attendance only. They say must at least wear sports wear and shoes. Pfffft. Now we gotta wait till January which I'm convinced that I will be fatter cause of christmas feasting :(

FM test tomorrow is 25% and I haven't even started. Just got back home and still lazy to pick up my notes. Seriously, my motivation has zooooom down.

I don't know how people can blog from Macbook leh. I can't make my photos bigger which explains the smaller than usual pics -.- Took my Sony for servicing so I'm stuck with the Macbook. Still not quite a fan of it though its pretty quick.

Went for my nephew's 10th birthday party on Saturday. I called him on Friday to ask him what he wants, damn stress please. He said he wants the Nerf gun (bloody hell costs $79 for a toy gun!), luckily it was out of stock. He kept rambling all the gun names in the end I just any old how bought one.

His parents joined the cake + Angry Bird craze.

I strongly think all these cakes are just pretty on the outside and dry on the inside. And its reaaaally expensive too!

Abit too cute till I could't bear to eat it and kept holding on to it.

I actually laughed non-stop at the ridiculous looking thing after biting off the beak and mohawk. hahahahaha. So funny. Btw the cupcake was so dry that I didn't touch it after 2 bites. But the main cake was pretty okay.

Like last year, they bought a piñata for the kids to hit. Poor dino piñata got beheaded in the end.

Sent my family off to Korea today. Thought I will feel happy being alone at home, but it felt so quiet. Heard its snowing on the mountain top, wth, I haven't touch or see snow yet leh. Sighhh. Bad timing.

Need a space to rant.

Too many tests and projects happening at one go. I kind of find it hard to absorb everything cause like 75% of me is still itching to watch my drama series every night. I’m slowly cutting down to only 1 per night okay. But soon I think I have to wait till the weekends to watch. That’s if I still have my weekends free.

I took a look at my planner and I see all the scribbles for Monday – Friday and I wanna faint. Like previous post, we still have no progression I can safely say. We met up yesterday and spent majority of the time planning our future meetings and the projects we’re gonna do. Yeahhhh. Okay, patience is a virtue and I’m learning it everysinglefuckingday.

Two post-its pasted on my laptop containing to-dos by Friday and Sunday. Sigh, started on some but just barely scratching the surface (god, I sound like Sheila Sim now). And there’s the field trip later on which pisses me equally cause we’re not allowed to wear “jeans/denim”. It’s just a bloody country club. And since when are jeans inappropriate huh? Thus I’m hoping that I’m not allowed to go for the field trip despite paying $11, and go home study for the gaming test.

Long overdue post! Stupid Facebook is really taking a long time uploading and it keeps failing. I really hope it’s my laptop’s problem because my internet connection keeps failing. Then at least I can bring it for servicing.

Anyway, woke up bright and early and met the girls to USS! Third time there but still excited. Lol. I know I very grumpy in the morning luh, bear with me please. Haven’t been waking up at 8am since internship ended okay.

Got our tickets cheap thanks to Pris mum!

The one thing being in this industry is that you never know who may be working inside attractions. And I pay more attention to their service, always thinking ‘I can do better!’ LOL. But of course, I don’t want to.

First ride was the family rollercoaster. I told them this is level 1 scary compared to the others there. In the end, I screamed like mad –.-

My heart cannot take such action early in the morning y’know. Haha. At the end of the ride, I asked the little boy in front of me whether he was scared. He said a little bit :(

The sky was already gloomy in the morning and to our misfortune, it rained almost the entire day!! Hate end of the year weather, so unpredictable leh.

Headed in for the Shrek 4D show.

Next we went for the Canopy Flyer. They said it didnt look very scary cause it looks like it was moving slow. I told them to sit first then say. Halfway while queueing, it started pouring very heavily. We decided to stay and wait for the rain to stop and for the ride to resume.

Damn sian of waiting already…

Oh, while waiting, I needed to pee. Haha. And the very nice staff sheltered me across to the toilet and waited for me to be done and shelter me back. Awww so sweet. Then cause we wanted to go for lunch instead of queueing, we needed to get ponchos. But the person selling ponchos has already left. The same staff went off to look for ponchos for me. Damn nice please.

We walked past the Mummy rollercoaster and it said waiting time was only 5 minutes. So why not? And we sat 2 rounds before going for lunch. By then I was already having a bit of motion sickness. #weak

Settled our lunch at the pizza place. We were contemplating if we should order the family meal which has this humongous pizza. We damn afraid we can’t finish it but its still cheaper than buying the individual meal.

I kinda miss the pizza now. So cheesy and the pepperoni is so yumzzz!

Biggest pizza I’ve ever seen so far. And the 4 of us finished the whole thing. Actually it isn’t considered big, cause its pretty thinly sliced.

Stopped raining after lunch. Yay to good weather!!

So we decided to get out of USS but stopped for a shot with this lady. No idea who she is, but just take lo.

Got see NO CROWD at the Universal globe before not? Huh? Huh? Huh? No right?! See below, NOBODY ONE LEH!

Wanna know why? Cause it was still drizzling while we stood there taking it. hahahaha. Walau better than taking it with a bunch of tourists in the background photobombing. But all of us don’t exactly look good with wet hair.

When we got back to USS, Evon and Tingting determined to take the BSG. So off they went while Pris and I went for another few rounds of Mummy rides then walked around the place.

Worked for a PA event yesterday at Marina Bay Sands. Suaku us has never really been to MBS, except for the field trip earlier this year. Lol. Couldn’t figure out how to get our way from Promenade station to MBS and ended up cabbing there. We were dropped at the hotel and boy, I really wanna get a night there.

Anyway, first time working with Pris and Tingting, don’t want to do it again cause they keep bullying me :(

Before the event, I prayed that it’ll rain since its an outdoor thing. And God answered my prayers after all. Cause it rained non-stop all the way. Lol. Like USS all over again with the ponchos. We reached there and the in charge passed us ponchos to wear. The red one really looks like those big red plastic bag lo!

Snapped one a shot against the pretty Singapore skyline. I know I not very patriotic since I’ve never watched NDP live or even on TV since Primary 5. But I am very proud of Singapore’s city view.

A lot of balloons involved and a lot of rain!!! Everytime the rain stopped and we got out to prepare the balloons, it starts to rain. Very heavily. Lol. So we spent most of the time eating, drinking, talking, walking in the rain with the ponchos.

Thaijin and I slacked most of the time. hahahahha. Cause really nothing to do okay. Rain also cannot keep asking us to walk outside. My white canvas shoes are now yellowish-black and prepared to be thrown.

Did I mention I looooove the skyline??? I keep telling Thaijin the same thing until she got v annoyed. But not as annoyed as I am towards her.

Received our pay at the end of the day and a box of light sticks. Hahaha. Our pay has already went to cab fares (cabbed back to Promenade –.-) and supper at Bedok 85 afterwards. Satay, ba chor mee, sambal stingray and oyster omelette. So yumzzzzz beats restaurant food anytime. I used to wish to go overseas to study/work but recently I’ve grown very attached to SG food and most importantly RICE.

TP should review their toilet layout

I blame the lousy school’s toilet layout for making me enter or almost entering the wrong toilet. Why can’t they have all the girls toilet built on the left and all the guy’s toilet built on the right???

Everytime before I enter the toilet, I have to double check that its the female one. Pffft. Doesn’t help that sometimes the doors aren’t close and I have to walk to the front of the toilet to look at the sign. I know there’s colour difference in both toilets but got some is like the same colour okay. So not my fault.

Today’s one was best. I was checking Twitter and following Simin to the toilet. The 3rd floor’s toilet on Cheers end is female on the left and male on the right. I was used to it already. But we walked to the other end’s toilet where the female one is on the RIGHT. I bloody well walked into the guys toilet and look eye to eye with the guy inside. Lucky he was washing his hands and not peeing if not …..

Yeah well, can’t believe I just blogged a post on TP’s toilet. Hmmm. Maybe I should write this as a form of feedback at the end of the semester.

I’m not a bitch.

At least I tried to warn myself not to be a bitch. Slowly its creeping up to my nerves and all I can do is control and remain calm. After all, losing my temper and showing my annoyance would only be a problem. Maybe because I sometimes see myself as being unable to do things or understand things, that’s why they think I’m not capable of coming up with ideas. Bullshit. I have my moments of brilliance and its coming out frequently because I don’t want to be belittled. Pfffft.

Yeah, we have different ideas but doesn’t mean that yours is always the best and you question mine majority of the time. We want to take part in discussions, but sometimes I rather shut up cause I wanna hear about your ‘great ideas’. And I dare not voice out my objections too strongly in case you take it the wrong way. It’s already the 5th week and we can’t come to any conclusions. Sure, it may be my impatient character but you were the one who said to complete before Christmas. Judging by the way we’re moving, I think it’s unlikely. Fine if there’s tests week after week but 1 week 7 days y’know. I don’t like doing last minute rushing cause by that time, we’ll only be rushing to complete and miss out on stuff.

Its hard to come to a consensus when we have different opinions and we don’t see eye to eye. It keeps dragging. Okay, perhaps I shouldn’t be so impatient and let things work out on its own. But if I don’t hurry them, we’re going to take our own sweet time. Sorry, I don’t want to put my GPA at risk. I know all of your GPA is higher than mine so you probably don’t care as much as I do. But hello, I do, and I need this semester to pull up my GPA if possible.

3 more months. I can do this. I can put everything aside and concentrate on the projects …. as long as nothing gets on my nerve again.

Sometimes I don’t know whether to be thankful for my course for being able to experience such things, or scold my course for making us spend money. Haha. But anyway, I don't mind spending for spa! Body massage at a established spa can be pretty costly y’know. At least $100+. Lucky we had special rates for 3 spas to go to. I tried looking for online deals, but most of them requires us to be 21 years old and above. Pfffft.

Simin and I went for Aramsa Spa at Ang Mo Kio/Bishan Park II. Cabbed there from Bedok cause we wanted to be there early to use steam and sauna. Like a shiok but we were disappointed :/

Located in the middle of a park, this garden spa really does live up to its name and the awards won.

Filled in the mandatory form and was given a tour of the spa. It’s pretty big inside. Can’t tell from the exterior eh. And the rooms were oh so relaxing! Can’t wait to bring my future boyfriend here and make him pay. Lol.

This was one of the rooms. I think almost all has a bathtub leh. The designs are all so pretty! I also want one in my house in future!!

Then we were brought to the waiting area. I thought we were waiting for our locker keys cause they said not enough now. But the Indian couple who came after us, got their locker keys and could change into the robes! In the end, we didnt even get to use the steam + sauna + bathe. I was looking forward to it lo. Sian.

I’m very anal about toilets I swear. I cannot take dirty toilets with footprints or hair all over. Every time I go to a hotel, I need to wash the whole area before I feel clean. I really hate seeing hair (that’s not mine) on the floor or on the bed. So yucky please.

Anyway, their toilet so nice and clean and cosy. Hahahaha. I seriously don’t mind just sitting there instead of the waiting room. Cause it was cooler in the toilet. You can find all the necessities you need like hair gel, comb, hair dryer, cotton wool etc.

Sucks that I couldn’t bathe there. Dunno why Simin and I have the mentality that we come all the way to Aramsa Spa, must use all their facilities. Hahaha.

We were taken to the couple’s room. Got outdoor shower leh. Like not in Singapore already.

Bathtub inside. Our treatment doesn’t include any bathing or anything. Only a foot soak + body massage.

It was pretty okay. I enjoyed the one I did in KL more though. Kinda painful and ticklish at some points. Lol. She said my muscles are very tensed. Duh. Projects + reports = stress. I was trying to relax and sleep or something. But its hard to sleep when someone is causing you pain. Best part was the heavy rain, hearing the raindrops hitting the roof above you. #bliss

My whole body was super oily after treatment and we couldn’t bathe for at least 2 hours for maximum results. The bus ride home was super uncomfortable cause my arms and legs are so sticky.

I wanna come back and try out ALL their facilities. Including the bathtub. Can imagine how shiok it is already.

School ended slightly earlier cause its consultation. I no like my Indian tutor. Not racism, but purely because of how he’s conducting classes. Sigh. Doesn’t help that this subject is pretty important. Sipping packet milo and trying to focus on my Gaming project. This semester officially sucks. 6 group projects and 5 individual reports. All within 3 months. Fuck my life.

Anyhow, this week is going to be fantastic. Spa treatment tomorrow, facial on friday and Universal Studios on saturday!!

To celebrate, we went Su at FEP. My fav Korean restaurant so far. And finally saw Priscilia Liew Rui Xi after 2 freaking months!!! Okay la. Actually I almost teared when she hugged me. Still not a fan of her hair. Haha. Waiting for the photos from Evon then I’ll blog again.

Measured my weight this morning cause I was so sure I will lose weight once school start. Cause my activity level will shoot up. haha. Now you know that I hardly move at all during the holidays. And I dropped back to 48kg! So happy. But after the good meal today, I think it went up again. Which is why, I’m gonna start on the lemon detox!

Do you know that lemons actually contain more VitC than oranges even though they are citrus fruits? Even though its sour (and I hate sour stuff), you still get the vitamins and whatnots by adding the freshly squeezed lemon juice to water. I did some research and some people swear by adding lemon juice to all the water they drink. But I think I’m just gonna drink it once in the morning, and once at night. It’s benefits consists of:

cleansing and getting rid of toxic in your body
great at keeping sickness away
weight loss (although I doubt it)
relieve stress
aids in digestion

School for an hour’s lecture > lunch > town for facial. Mehhh my skin has been pretty crappy lately and I’m praying + crossing fingers that the regular facials will quick quick improve. Although the downside is the dry, flaking skin after a few days. Sian sian sian.

Anyway I think I can’t be left in Orchard alone. I always end up buying things when I don’t intend to. Okay, today was just I bought more than I intend to. Haha. I just wanted to get a notebook from Typo and ended up buying 3 cause it’s 3 for $10. Now I don’t know what to do with the other two –.- Heh, probably wrapping them up as X’mas presents. Okay lah, I’m not so cheap. Bought lingerie too, cause Cotton On Body was having sales and I’ve been planning to buy new ones. Wth need to really stop spending.

Btw, #jyssfacts on Twitter was super hilarious. From the infamous porn site to nation wide trending. So proud of them . My favourite ones are about OM Tan, sending the whole school to Recovery Room and Ang KS speed of walking. Walau. I literally laughed out loud while walking alone.

Sigh school’s starting in 4 days. On the brightside, timetable isn’t fully packed. Plus I’ll have time for flea and hopefully work at the airport as well. Still waiting for the lady to return my call. Pffft. Although I think the free times are used for projects. Oh man.

I dyed my hair red on Tuesday. No guts to go really red, just subtle dark red with hints of dark purple. I swear it looks most obvious under sunlight okay. Hairdresser said the colour will become more obvious after a few washes. Yup, still waiting for it to happen. Photo below was before hair dye. Sigh. I miss my long hair.

Last week, there was a Body Shop sale going on at TM. Got my hands on the eye cream. I’ve had it with my unequal eye bags leh. Hopefully it works! Maybe I should just apply it on the left eye.

Alrighty! Having Spooktacular tomorrow and I’m betting it’s gonna end really really late. Plus I’m working on Saturday. Hopefully I get enough sleep!

Mehhh still haven’t lose the kilos I gained during internship. Not helping that my activity level is low. Haha. At least last week I made the effort to skip 50 times in the morning every day. Then I stopped. Obviously. haha. Plus my appetite has been decreasing too. Also good lah. Eat so much then never move will gain more weight.

Anyways, met up with Simin to have the Korean BBQ!! I think its nice and sort of worth the money? As long as you keep telling yourself to eat to cover the money spent then I guess its worth.

Lunch is $19.90++ per person and you get to eat so much as you can that is listed on the paper.

MEEEEEEAAAAAAAT! I love the spicy pork best! And the vermicelli, pancake and soups. Why oh why my appetite sucks? :( If not I can stuff myself silly with everything listed there.

Lol I dug out my grudge in secondary school and started to take revenge on them especially Sharon. They once took a whole series of unglam shots of me. So I kept taking shots of them for that perfect unglam shot as well.

I was pretty full after my pasta gratin while the rest still wanted to eat. Sigh. I can no longer eat as much as I want already. Now face round like a ball.

The O’s are coming,

While I’ve been slacking away, my sis has been studying really hard for her O’levels. It makes me think back about the time where I mugged like crazy too. Haha. Actually it's a bit fuzzy cause I don’t exactly remember how hard I studied. I only remembered study sessions with G, going back to the school library and staying in KFC for an entire day to study maths. haha. Mehhh it’s only 5 years ago and I can’t remember much about secondary school.

One more week till school starts again. Sigh. Why 2 and a half months of holiday passes so quickly.

Anyway, mum bought these Paris wall decals for me months ago. It has been lying on my desk collecting dust ever since until I finally took it out and pasted them on the wall. I think it looks really good (although its slanting upwards) with my photo frame hanging over it too.

And I don’t know why I even joined Spooktacular in the first place. Firstly, I don’t like scary/ghostly stuff. Secondly, I’m not paid. Ugh. So I can only comfort myself with the seal points given. Queue management should be easy I hope.

Well, Tingting is finally back from her holiday in Korea. 3 weeks leh. Spend so long holidaying in just one country. Kay , faster earn money and I shall go for a month long holiday in Europe. haha. Anws, I asked her to shop on my behalf cause that sucker kept telling me how cheap things are there. She bought a clutch, a maroon bandage skirt, red knitted cardi and a high waist shorts all for just $43. Those masks and notebook are gifts for me. My family better buy good stuff for me when they go Korea in December. Pffft.

Steamboat at Jussy’s !

Finally a good meetup with poly mates after 2 months. I suggested steamboat cause I always like having steamboat/teppanyaki in big numbers. haha. Bought $81 worth of food at Giant before heading to Jus place. We were so scared that the food wouldn’t be enough but it was waaaaay more than enough after 2 hours of eating. haha.

I think after 2 hours of eating, we were not very full but can’t eat further. Eat until very sian. They had to play games to make the loser eat. Lol. While Serena and Wan Ting were outside, we prepared their birthday cake.

Buuuuuut I’ve been controlling. And thank god I didnt bookmark this certain blogshop cause I almost wanted to buy a bag there. hahah. That means I saved $28 for forgetting the name. On the other hand, spent $40+ on my hair today. Sucks to have natural curls and I have to touch up twice a year. Three times if my hair is very stubborn. And I can’t stand my ugly hair colour now. Sigh. I thought my natural hair colour would cover up the coloured parts when it grows out. Mehh. Dyeing would cost $118. Might as well buy those self dyes right. $20 + spend abit more for hair treatment = still less than $118.

Been stuck home the entire week except I was working over the weekends at Tangs. Dragged my lazy ass to work since I have so much time to spend and weeks to burn till school starts. I bet I’ll die when school starts. Laziness has swallowed me up and gobbled me down. haha.

Rummaged through my stuff and found the Paris stickers Pris bought me and hey, who knew I could take such Tumblr worthy photo!

And I tried cooking risotto for the first time! Watched too much Hell’s Kitchen and hearing Gordon Ramsay constantly ~~going~~ shouting , ‘Where’s my risotto?!!’

I cooked it with mushrooms and bacon. Yes, there are mushrooms in them although only one can be sadly seen. Lol. Ooooh can you see the cheesiness between the rice. Its really not convincing when I cook for myself and there’s no one else to compliment it. Well, people don’t take self-compliments seriously right. haha. But I think it tastes good for a first attempt.

Before my mum got the macbook, people keep saying its photobooth is great and whatever. Maybe its just me, I don’t think there’s anything extraordinary about it. Heh. And mum got herself the first iphone of the family and her photo albums are spammed with mine and Mocha shots. Lol.

Before leaving my aunt’s place, my cousin secretly stashed these into my hands for fear of the little nephews noticing them. haha. And god aren’t they cute !! The cutest sugar cookies I’ve ever seen! I snatched the mouse one away from my sister. So adorable I didn’t bear to eat them. I checked out their site and their wedding cookies are too pretty.

Okay! Gonna go heat up my apple pie and snack on it while watching new season of Gossip Girl. Am I the only one tired of their continuing drama already? The only high points they have are the fashion they wear.

Got invited by my ex-colleagues for steamboat dinner at Boon Keng. By the time the 3 of us reached, the rest were halfway through with dinner.

Kinda miss working with them but I’d rather stay home and laze around. Especially with weather like this! Walau. What a happy thing it is to be able to be home.

Despite the brief period of knowing him , I knew my feelings were strong (almost too strong for my own good) yet real. Funnily enough, I guess its in the head of girls to want to be with this *special* person for life as long as they have feelings for them. The kind where despite it being a hard possibility, that the two people can get married and live happily. Well, maybe its just me. I picture marrying the guy I like, until someone/something/I vandalises the picture of course.

And I couldn’t deny that I thought there might be the slightest glimpse of hope that we might have a chance. Maybe I was led on by my friends, or I was letting myself on. But I admit that he’s sort of the guy I imagine myself to be with. Tall, sense of humour, caring, knows what he’s doing, the silent nerd etc etc etc. I don’t know. All I know is that he’s a small, beautiful memory.

Is it perfectly normal to say that I miss him and whenever I stand near him, I get the urge to say how I feel. Sigh, okay I need to get everything out of my head asap.

Work has been okay. And by work, I mean 2 days of selling mooncakes. Haha. After surviving on $500 a month, $160 seems easy and sufficient to live on so far. Headed to town alone for some shopping but nothing caught my eye. Everytime like that one. Got money to spend but nothing to buy. Pfffft. Then I’ll get desperate to buy something and will end up buying rubbish or something I’ll regret. Haha. So far I don’t regret my eyeliner, tank top and rings.

Sis and I went over to the Borders book sales at Expo yesterday. One of the rare, and I mean very rare times we went out together. I think the sales was very ‘discounted’. Why are Borders books so expensive? They originally cost like $30 - $40, with the 50% discount it still doesn’t feel like its cheap. It’s equivalent to going Popular / Times to buy a book. Anyway, we got 6 books in total for $92. Still expensive in my opinion.

Met up with Ting at Bugis later in the noon.

Haji lane > Bugis Street > Dinner at Ajisen > Bean curd tart at Middle Rd > Rochor bean curd

I mentioned to her that Alex once brought us to buy some really nice egg tarts near Bugis. And Ting was tempted to try them. I called Alex for directions but he said we were too far (we were at Haji Lane then). But after dinner, still craving for it, we decided to try our luck to walk over. I called them and the guy gave us directions to walk straight all the way. Lol.

We followed the directions alright. But cause I’ve been there and I remembered we cut through Laselle so I led the way. I always tell people to follow the gut feeling and I should really just follow mine. Both of us got lost around Laselle. And I literally mean, around. We walked the perimeter of the campus but still couldn’t find our way. Oh, btw we were following Google map throughout. Finally asked for directions and found the freaking place.

Bought a box each and Ting also got the pineapple tarts which were to die for. Big and yummy max! Free tart sample each if you buy a box of the bean curd tart. Anyway all that walking was worth it. $8 for 8 tarts was worth.

Then we went next door to Rochor bean curd to have grass jelly and bean curd. Yumzzz. Think I have an addiction to bean curd soon. Like that time with my peanut tang yuans. hahahaha.

Okay. I ought to be the too-free-feel-shameless-and-guilty person right now. So I dragged my lazy ass up and made pancakes! Got the recipe from HERE. I wanted to substitute the milk with chocolate milk cause I don’t have normal white milk at home. But decided that it was gross and forced myself to change and go downstairs to buy milk.

I think it’s pretty okay to me. Sis said it tastes good with butter so I assume she’s complimenting it. hahaha.

Chinese Garden,

Over the weekends, I was asked to help in selling food at Chinese Garden. Since I was free and there’s money, why not? Simin was supposed to accompany me on both days but she was sick on Saturday. And there I was alone and cold in the West of Singapore. I’ve only ever been to Chinese Gardens once in my entire life. Luckily the malay dude selling drinks chatted with me or else I would have died of boredom.

And seriously, the train journey there was a killer. 45 minutes.

It amazes me that China people bother to come to Chinese Garden when they have the authentic thing in their homeland.

Anyway, Simin and I were busy up to our necks selling food on Sunday. We even ran out of paper plates and spoons which resulted me in running out to the nearest Cheers and to be told they dont have the items –.- But thank god she was there, cause I suck at mental calculation. I can add up mentally, but I fail at subtracting. Haha.

Sigh, I miss my long hair. Faster grow! Faster grow! Faster grow!

Walked around when the crowds was gone to take some pictures! I’m in awed of the symmetry reflected in the water.

I was reading a book on the Empress Dowager Cixi’s life previously and seeing all these ‘ancient’ China infrastructure, helped me picture those days.

Then at 9pm every Sunday, there would be fireworks! Everyone was crowding at the river area. I used to imagine myself coming to Chinese Garden with my boyfriend to see the lanterns. Haha. But now that I’ve been there, I don’t wanna go back again. The first time I went to the gardens was in Primary school I think. I remembered it was the Hello Kitty lanterns and it was so big and crowded.

Haha. I deserve some touristy shots since I’m never going back. Anyway, my self-declared holidays are over. Am supposed to find a job for Sept and Oct but till now… But hey, I went for an interview just now and crossing fingers that I can get it. Although in the meantime I should go through online ads again.

Thanks to last night, I only got to bed at 2am and woke up at 8 plus due to mum vomiting. Poor mummy looked so sick-ish while dad and I accompanied her to the doctor. Lucky nothing big was wrong with her so I could go out without feeling guilty. Heh.

Headed out to the airport to meet Pris! Thought taking the train might be faster since I’m already late, but I was still late. I think as we grow up, we should be more accustomed to having friends leaving SG for a long period of time. Sigh. #painsofgrowingup

Her luggage which is surprisingly small when I look at the photo now. 2 months leh. Either I bring my entire cupboard of clothes there or I spend money on shopping there. haha.

Sharon came as well, with Enni! Luckily she was there if not I think things will be pretty awkward with only me and another 2 guys.

Since there was time to spare after checking her luggage in, we went for lunch at some club house that can only be found if you’re a member. Very weird and freezing cold place to eat though. And I suddenly remember I have a photo of me in Sharon’s ribbon hairband in Pris camera. *face palms* So girly and so not my style. I’m not girly okay!

I look so big... Sigh.

The other day when I was back in Playground, I left a note for one of my ex-colleague. Cause I was chatting with him the day before and I was saying Playground no more pretty lady after I left. Hahahaha. Damn funny when he saw the note this morning and tagged me on facebook.

Still remembered another incident where he left a note for Alex on his table. Alex happened to be on leave and I was at his desk settling stuff when I saw the note. I nothing better to do and added, ‘With love, Sithu’. Lol. The next day I was at my desk when I heard Alex going, ‘Walau Sithu! You damn er xin leh! Leave me a note jiu can already, need to put ‘With love’ not!’. I couldn’t help it and burst out laughing from my corner and they immediately knew its me. hahahahaha. Their reactions are fucking funny that I’m still laughing about it.

Suddenly I feel that if I don’t watch myself, I’m going to cry real bad. True that half of me doesn’t want to see him again for fear of messing up my feelings, but the other half misses him like crazy. Been having mixed feelings ever since I told them I’m going back. Then today, I was requested to handle something tomorrow which is gonna prevent me from seeing him. At first it was just disappointment, cause seriously, when am I going to get another excuse to see him. Then slowly, my heart turned heavy and it felt like tears could come out anytime. Didn’t realise exactly how much I miss him like crazy until reality sets in.

Its frustrating. Just pure frustration when it feels like you’re breathless and needing to gulp air in to remind yourself to breathe. Sigh. How did this get into my head so much? Comforting myself that there really is no fate, so pushing it will just deliver the same result. Hence it doesn’t matter. Now, my heart needs to be convinced.

Pris and Ting Ting has been pestering me to invite them to my house and cook them lunch. They pestered me for a very long long time already and since Pris is leaving on Monday, I gave in and asked them over. I’m not very good at cooking. I don’t know where they get the idea that I can cook. Culinary Science helped a bit but doesn’t prove that whatever I cooked tastes good. Haha. Photos taken from their camera cuz I think its weird to take photos in my own house.

Menu of the day:

Appetisers – Mushroom soup

Main Course – Chicken thigh with red wine sauce, cheesy baked potatoes with bacon bits.

Dessert – Lemon cheesecake.

Pretty worried about my cooking cause I thought I over-seasoned the chicken thighs. But everything was yumz, except the Heinz mushroom soup! Although I think the thigh could have cooked a little longer.

Watched abit of tv, washed up and chatted in my room.

Proudly showed them my photo albums from sec 2 days up till now. They were so horrified at the old photos. hahaha. And looked at how much we’ve changed!! 4 years difference. Okay lah. I think it’s just mainly the hairstyle. haha.

After looking at the photos, I am certain that I look different with and without eyeliner. At home use what eyeliner. And I have so many photos displayed in my room. Lol.

Sigh. Okay. Probably our last meet up before Pris flies to HK. Gonna be lonely for awhile. Hopefully I can get the job at the airport then my time will be occupied rather than rot at home feeling guilty that I’m wasting my life away. Pfft. Then you’ll hear my whine and complain when I really do get a job. Ahh, the irony of life.

Should I? Should I? Should I?

Gahhh, all these ASOS watches are temptations! Been on the lookout for watches below $100 and none has caught my eye so far, until now. Cause majority of them costs more than that. I’ve been wearing the same watch for nearly a year? And I’m scared I will soon wear it out. Pains my heart when I accidentally knock the watch face against metal or glass. And fearing the day its leather will start peeling. Haha. Sounds more and more like I’m giving myself excuses to buy a new watch.

Kinda like the brown ones, cause the black watch resembles the current one. Black & gold again.

Kay, probably going for one of the bottom two. No MJ wallet, so at least a nice watch to reward myself for finishing internship. Ahhh. Fine, I’m giving myself all sorts of excuses to get one without guilt. Pffft.

Non-bake (lemon) cheesecake

Found the easiest and most idiot-proof recipe ever. At least till now. Its ingredients that are so straightforward I have it memorised already. But measurements are subjective to your baking pan though. Mine’s the very normal unknown size.

100g butter (melted)
150g biscuit of your choice
Half can condensed milk (about 200g? Most cans I saw are about 400g)
250g cream cheese
Juice of 1 lemon (optional)
1 tsp vanilla essence

Crush biscuits finely and mix well with melted butter
Press into baking pan firmly with a spoon and put it into the freezer
Beat cream cheese with mixer till smooth and add in half can condensed milk
Add lemon juice and vanilla essence
Pour mixture over biscuit crumbs, cover with cling wrap and leave in freezer overnight

I tweaked abit of the measurements from the original recipe cause I think a whole can of condensed milk is a lil’ too sweet, no? In addition, I added in lemon zest which I found it to be pretty bitter. So I shall skip that the next time. The result was surprisingly good. So easy somemore wtf. No need to get angry with the stupid oven or turn stupid knobs. Although I added like 200g of biscuit and the biscuit part was thicker that I thought.

Okay very good. You’ll see me make cheesecake of different variations soon. Haha.

5 things I bet you didn’t know.

1. I hate frogs. The sight of it makes me squirm and itch all over. If I see it on magazines or papers, I flip it over cause those damn eyes freaks me out. Yucks.

2. I have a mild phobia of walking near the ledge of swimming pools. The small path leading to the bbq pit at my cousin’s condo is just next to the pool and all the time I could think of was, ‘What if I accidentally slip and fall in? Or if someone pushes me in, I’m gonna drown and die’. I just don’t like walking near pools.

3. Koi/Gong Cha/whatever bubble tea drink, I’ve never tried it before. I don’t see a point in waiting 15 – 20 minutes for a cup of bubble tea that costs $4 or more. $3 I also refuse to pay. So expensive. I stick to my Xiao Ba Wang’s milk tea or the occasion Starbucks Mocha Frappe.

4. I like finding and reading recipes online and thinking, ‘One day I’m going to try to make this’. But I hardly do.

5. I secretly fantasize about wearing pretty heels but dare not cause I’m already tall enough. Another few more cm and I will be near 180cm. How to find boyfriend! Hahaha. Which is probably a good thing. Cant imagine the number of shoes I will own if I had that option.

Wisdom tooth doesn't make me any wiser

Today must be one of the most unsufferable day ever in my 19 years of living.

One bloody wisdom tooth can cause so much drama. Ugh. The moment I sat on the dentist chair, I told myself not to have any panic attacks. He checked and said, 'you don't have any wisdom teeth what'. Oh I wish. Told him to check the xray and he said he's only going to do 1 wisdom today cause the one on top is too complicated. Fml.

Then the whole torture process starts. I didn't know he was injecting the anaesthetic but it already hurts. Tears were already coming out but still bearable. I stupidly asked him if the tooth is taken out.

I don't know why but I could still feel pain when he's starting to remove the gum. Could be my imagination imagining the worst, but it could really be painful. I started sobbing and freaked out. Dentist made me sit up and asked if I was sure to continue with the whole thing since I'm already in this state. In the end I went ahead with it since its a sooner or later thing. And bloody hell, it was the worst decision.

Throughout the entire 40mins, I was sobbing non-stop. I could feel the tugging and pulling. The drilling didn't make it any easier for me. I was clutching on tightly onto my cardigan and hugging myself (mental note to bring tigger or smth to hug). The dentist was annoyed I think cause I kept saying it was painful. He gave me like 3 - 4 jabs of anaesthetic leh. Ugh. I already warned him my tolerance for pain is low. But I found it funny during the process. I was imagining it like I was giving birth. Hahahahah. The motherly nurse kept patting me saying, 'oh you're very brave. Brave girl. Its coming out now. 2 more minutes and it will come out'. Plus they could understand whatever I was saying with my mouth opened which amused me to keep talking.

I kept apologising but walau, it hurts like a bitch so crying like a baby was forgiven. I could even feel the stitches going in and out. So I'm now wondering if the anaesthetic didn't work, or the dentist or its really just me. Even simin said the procedure shouldn't hurt at all.

Now I'm recommended to go to the hospital and do general anaesthetic. Put to sleep and preferably remove the other 7 teeth at one go -.- y'know how serious it is when I'm told to go to the hospital to do the rest. Think I'm gonna be blacklisted.

Been some time since I blogged about the doggy. She’s very much alive okay. Just that I see her everyday doing the same thing – running, eating, jumping. Haha. Her fur was getting long and very tangled. Its hard to brush her fur when she can’t sit still. And we know it’s time to call the groomer when fur balls are appearing in the house.

I like her better now cause I can hug her without all the fur flying around in front of my face. And she’s really nice to touch with her soft smooth fur. hahahaha. I sound like a sicko.

Okey dokey. Getting 2 of my wisdom teeth extracted out tomorrow. Sigh. Maybe I should go read up more on what’s going to happen during and after. Bracing myself for non-solid food for at least 2 weeks. I’ve already stocked up on yoghurt and probably getting chiffon cakes tomorrow.
